The EVP, Administration directs, oversees, and has ultimate responsibility for the DART’s Administrative functions, including the activities of strategic planning, human resources, procurement, risk management, information services and marketing/communications. This position reports directly to the President/Executive Director and is the highest official responsible for administrative functions. They will also develop and maintain a working relationship with Board Members and represent the President with policy-making groups. The EVP, Administration also holds primary responsibility for the integrated planning activities of the executive staff and assists the Board in formulating strategic priorities and goals.
DART is seeking someone with over 12 years progressively responsible general management experience in a private or public environment to include a minimum of 8 years directing senior-level staff involved with daily operations and administration. The candidate needs to be strategic and visionary with the ability to look ahead and to anticipate trends and potential consequences. They also need to be able to navigate political situations and to rally support for the vision. Empowering people to excel and fostering a positive work environment is also critical. A Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Transportation, or related field is required. A Master degree in Public or Business Administration is highly desirable.
